Dr. John T. Law - Director of Technical Services - West Coast
Dr. John T. Law, Jr., Ph.D., is ValleyCrest Companies' Director of Technical Services for the West Coast. John is responsible for approving and managing the performance of all matters relating to technical services including new research, pesticide safety, and legal compliance. In addition, he serves as an agronomic and horticultural consultant for all VCC divisions.
Previously, John had been Regional Technical Manager for the TruGreen Companies in Concord, California. He is part of the technical services team at VCC that includes Dr. Barry Troutman who is the Director of Technical Services for the eastern portion of the United States.
John is a member of the American Chemical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Society of Agronomy and Crop Science Society of America, the International Society of Arboriculture, the Pesticide Applicators Professional Association, and the California Agricultural Production Consultants Association. He is a member of the Board of Directors (1993-1996) of the California Chapter of the American Society of Agronomy, Board of Directors (1988-1992) of the California Agricultural Production Consultants Association, and ad advisor to the Secretary of Agriculture for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture (1983). Additionally, John is a regular contributor to Lawn & Landscape magazine and bylines the "Quick Tips" lawn care Q&A column.
A graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a doctorate in Biological Sciences, John received an M.S. degree in Plant Physiology from the University of California, Davis, and a B.S. degree in Biology from Syracuse University, New York. He is based out of ValleyCrest Companies' regional office in Northern California. |
